NEXT WEEK Brazil-focused VCs and tech investors will convene for LAVCA’s Encontro Anual Brasil in São Paulo

Quinn Li, Senior Vice President and Global Head of Qualcomm Ventures, will join us for a fireside chat as part of his inaugural visit to Brazil.

Carlos Ramos de la Vega, Director of Venture Capital at LAVCA, will present brief insights from our 1H 2022 VC data (already the second largest year on record after 2021) – including an update on venture funding going to women-led startups.

The program will also include the following breakout discussions:

  • Helping Portfolio Companies Fundraise Through a Crisis led by Santiago Fossatti, Partner, KASZEK; and Julia Figuereido, Director LatAm, Partners for Growth
  • Investing in Diverse Founding Teams led by Flavia Garcia, Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Latin America & Canada, Google; and André Barrence, Head of Google for Startups Latin America

Hosted at Google’s offices in Itaim Bibi, the program will be followed by a cocktail hour.

LAVCA Members are welcome to join us for dinner following the cocktail hour at Trattoria Fasano, located below Google’s offices. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet our newest Brazilian addition to the LAVCA team, Marcelo A. Pizzato Dantas, Director of Programs and Partnerships.
