Francisco Alvarez-Demalde is a founder and managing partner of Riverwood Capital Partners, and heads Riverwood’s New York office and its Latin America efforts. Riverwood manages +US$2.5b, and makes private equity investments in high-growth businesses, primarily in the global technology, technology-enabled and related growth industries. Prior to establishing Riverwood, Mr. Alvarez-Demalde was an investment executive at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR) and Eton Park, where he focused on private equity investments in the Technology Industry and other sectors in North America, Latin America, and other emerging markets. Previously, he was with Goldman, Sachs & Co. Mr. Alvarez-Demalde has invested and been actively involved in the development, operations, and growth of several successful businesses across Latin America and North America.

Mr. Alvarez-Demalde earned a Licentiate (Honors) in Economics from San Andres University, Argentina (including an exchange program at the Wharton School). He is director of Globant (NYSE: GLOB), GoIntegro , Industrious, LAVCA, Navent, Netshoes, and Nubox, and a board advisor and former director of several other companies, including Alog Data Centers do Brasil, Conductor, CloudBlue, Mandic, MotionPoint, Pixeon, VTEX, among others. He is also active in non-profit initiatives related to education.
