“I am very proud to say my father started this business in 1964 and our family has worked extremely hard to carry on his tradition of customer service and “can do spirit”

Brian Simon, CEO of USM, said “I am very proud to say my father started this business in 1964 and our family has worked extremely hard to carry on his tradition of customer service and “can do spirit”. We are excited to continue this tradition through our new partnership with Wynnchurch. With their track record, relationships and support, we will continue to build USM into a global, first class business focused on servicing our customers.”

Terry Theodore, a Partner with Wynnchurch, said, “USM is a thought leader in its industry that has developed a unique, proprietary technology over decades of work. This technology allows its customers to meet ever increasing standards and requirements and serves as a real means of differentiation. We are excited to add USM to our portfolio and help lead this next phase of their growth.”

Chris O’Brien, a Managing Director with Wynnchurch, added, “We believe USM’s superior products created through its VARI-LITE® process leave the Company well positioned for future growth not only in its existing markets but also in a variety of new end markets and geographies. We look forward to supporting Brian and his team as we pursue these strategic initiatives.”

GE Antares Capital served as Administrative Agent and GE Capital Markets served as Lead Arranger and Sole Book Runner on the transaction. William Blair & Company served as financial advisor to Wynnchurch Capital on the financing. In addition, Foley & Lardner LLP acted as legal counsel to Wynnchurch.
