Statkraft Energias Renovaveis Acquires Brazilian Wind Projects from Salus

Statkraft Energias Renovaveis ​​SA acquired two Brazilian 660 MW wind projects from Salus, a closed-end FIP in Brazil.

(Renewables Now) Statkraft Energias Renovaveis ​​SA (B3:STKF3) announced on Tuesday that it has completed the purchase of two Brazilian wind projects with a total capacity of 660 MW.

The local renewables arm of Norwegian state-owned utility Statkraft AS acquired 100% of the shares held by Salus – Fundo de Investimento em Participacoes Multiestrategia in Ventos de Sao Vitorino Energias Renovaveis ​​SA and Ventos de Santa Eugenia Energias Renovaveis ​​SA, which hold the two assets.

Located in the municipalities of Uibai and Ibipeba, the state of Bahia, the projects are at an advanced stage of development, Statkraft pointed out in its filling.

Currently, the company has 449.8 MW of clean energy installed capacity in Brazil, according to information on its website. Of that, 129.4 MW comes from wind farms and the rest is hydroelectric capacity.
