Cliever Received R$2m from Criatec 2

(Baguete) Clevier Tecnologia, a 3D printer manufacturer based in Tecnopuc, just received a financial contribution of $2m from the Venture Capital Fund, Criatec 2.

The Cliever Technology, Gaucho manufacturer of 3D printers based in Tecnopuc, just received a financial contribution of US$2m from the Fund and Venture Capital Criatec 2.

The company, which started its activities in the Incubator Dawn of PUC-RS, signed the partnership with the bottom this week, aiming to triple business growth for the next two years.

According to the founder and director of the company, the contribution will be instrumental in the company’s consolidation in the market, enabling the increase of the current structure seeking the segment leadership.

The company is the first startup Gaucho to receive a fund contribution after one year and eight months of negotiations. According to the manufacturer, the goal is to jump from the current 40 units monthly manufactured for about 120 next year.

According to the regional manager Criatec 2, Leandro Teixeira, the focus on startup due to three pillars: business technology, entrepreneurial, and a 3D printing market heating in the country.

“We believe that in addition to the market is interesting, we profitability, a healthy business,” notes Teixeira. He adds that the expectation is for an accelerated revenue growth for years to come.

Earlier this year, the Cliever took its first steps towards expansion of its business with the expansion of its product line. The third generation of the manufacturer, was produced to meet the most demanding customer needs resembling products only found abroad and with values around US $ 60,000.

The market three years ago, the company started with input devices, with prices ranging from $ 5 thousand. In 2014 the Cliever sold about 450 machines, billing R $ 1.2 million. The plan for 2015 is to reach a turnover of US $ 3 million.

Currently the company mainly relies on a direct sales model, but is already making an expansion via channels, which should evolve in 2015, according to Krug. The startup has representatives in Sao Paulo and Minas Gerais. The sales structure, support and manufacturing is at the headquarters in Porto Alegre.

Criatec 2 is a venture capital fund formed with funding from BNDES, BNB, BDMG, BRB and Badesul, managed by Bozano Investments.
