19 October 2020
Cleantech Ventures, Israeli venture capital fund, with support of Chilean state development agency CORFO, and Greenvestment’s administration, opened a 3-MW Candelaria solar photovoltaic (PV) park in Chile. The project will generate up to 9MW.
(Renewable Now) An Israeli venture capital fund last week inaugurated its 3-MW Candelaria solar photovoltaic (PV) park in Chile’s O’Higgins region.
The plant will operate under the PMGD regime, Chile’s special scheme designed for distributed generation projects of up to 9 MW. As the PMGD project, Candelaria is entitled to remuneration at a regulated stabilised price.
Israel Cleantech Ventures realised the project with support from Chilean state development agency Corfo and administered by Greenvestment SA.
The public-private investment represents the first renewable energy project in operation for the Israeli fund, the Chilean energy ministry said.
