Livia Brando is Country Manager at Wayra Brasil, the open innovation hub of the Telefónica group, Vivo. She is responsible for Wayra’s operation in Brazil and for managing the portfolio that currently counts 34 startups that together already surpass the BRL1b mark in market value. Livia has more than fifteen years of experience in leading open innovation initiatives for multinationals. She was responsible for the creation of EDP Ventures Brasil, the first corporate venture capital focused on the energy sector in the country. In addition to acting as mentor to startups, she is also a board member of several portfolio companies. She holds a degree in business administration from PUC, an MBA from FGV, with extension courses in Private Equity and Venture Capital from Insper and Università Bocconi.
