Women in venture are underrepresented in Latin America as they are globally. In the US, women only hold ~16% of GP positions in VC, and the majority of firms have no women partners; in other markets, reliable benchmarks for comparison are harder to come by.
In an effort to raise their visibility, LAVCA published an updated annual list of the Top Women Investing in Latin American Tech, and our fourth annual list of Emerging Women Investors in Latin American Tech, which includes 135 junior-level female investment professionals at VC firms investing in Latin American startups, a 16% growth over the 2021 list of 116 women.
Seven women from last year’s Emerging Women Investors list were promoted to Partner roles and are featured in our companion list of Top Women Investing In Latin American Tech:
Camila Sangali (Igah Ventures), Maria Tellez (Cometa), Camila Petignat (The Yield Regina Zurutuza (500 Global), Gabriela Cibils-Bernardes (Cibersons), Bianca Sassoon (17Sigma), Macarena Liu (Driven VC), Vanessa Bello (Wayra Hispam), Viviane Radiuk (Invest Tech), Evelyn Arriaga Velasco (G2 Momentum Capital)
All nominees were vetted for inclusion by LAVCA Research. View LAVCA’s list of Top Women Investing In Latin American Tech, with 140 senior investment professionals and notable angels.
