FIDC Agro SGT Raises BRL48m (em português)

FIDC Agro SGT, a credit fund created by TerraMagna, Sparta and Grano Capital, has raised BRL48m to finance distributors of agricultural inputs in Brazil.

(Startupi) Voltado ao financiamento agrícola, o FIDC Agro SGT, fundo criado pela TerraMagna, Sparta e Grano Capital, acaba de captar R$ 48 milhões. Com isso, distribuidores de insumos do agro poderão se beneficiar com o serviço através da antecipação de CPRs (Cédula de Produto Rural), emitidas pelos produtores rurais nas operações de Barter – viabilizador comercial que consiste na troca de insumos pela produção agrícola.

“A operação alimenta diretamente o motor do nosso país, o agronegócio. Distribuidores terão a oportunidade de ter dinheiro à vista em caixa, sair do risco da operação de Barter, além de aumentar suas vendas e conseguir descontos na compra de insumos”, conta Bernardo Fabiani, diretor executivo da TerraMagna.

Segundo o FIDIC Agro SGT, a expectativa é que os investidores que aplicaram no fundo consigam uma taxa de aproximadamente 11% ao ano. Desde 2017, a TerraMagna, agtech de crédito para produtores rurais brasileiros, está reinventando a forma como o mesmo é subscrito, concedido e cobrado na agricultura brasileira, alavancando tecnologia e fontes de dados alternativas para transformar um processo arriscado e volátil em uma experiência simples e segura.

Com a agfintech, distribuidores, agroindústrias e agricultores têm acesso a crédito justo e os investidores têm ativos de alto rendimento, descorrelacionados ao mercado e de alto volume para investir. No ano passado, a TerraMagna movimentou mais de R$ 53 milhões com o serviço de antecipação. Para 2021, a expectativa é chegar aos R$ 500 milhões.

Em 2019, a empresa recebeu um aporte no valor de R$ 2 milhões liderado pela The Yield Lab, aceleradora irlandesa especializada no ramo e que possui aportes na Argentina, Peru e Chile. No final de novembro de 2020, a TerraMagna anunciou uma rodada de investimento seed no valor de US$ 2 milhões, liderada pelo fundo de venture capital ONEVC. Quase um mês depois, a agtech venceu a etapa brasileira da Startup World Cup, uma das principais competições do gênero do mundo. O evento teve como foco soluções para problemas específicos do agronegócio.
