Variv Capital and Austrian VC Speedinvest made an undisclosed investment in Bnext, a Spain-based marketplace for financial products.

(Press Release) VARIV II invested in Bnext’s latest round. Speedinvest, an Austrian venture capital firm, also participated in the Madrid-based company’s financing. The company will use the proceeds to scale its operations and to develop new generation financial products and services.

By offering a pre-paid debit card and a current account with a fully-online experience, Bnext is building a financial services marketplace for Iberia and Latin America. Aside from the current account, Bnext offers its clients additional financial products within its app through third-party Fintech companies. Currently, Bnext has integrated the following products to its platform: mortgages, personal loans, investment accounts, life insurance, travel and health insurance, among others.

Bnext was co-founded by Guillermo Vicandi and Juan Antonio Rullán. Both Spanish nationals, with experience in the financial services and IT industries, respectively.
