Distrito & Parallax Ventures to Invest up to R$10m in Brazilian Fintechs (em português)

Distrito and Parallax Ventures are partnering to invest up to R$10m in Brazilian fintechs. Parallax investments include fintechs CERC, Monkey, goLiza, Ali Crédito, Asaas, and healthtech Bright.

(Startupi) A plataforma de inovação Distrito e a Parallax Ventures fecharam uma parceria estratégica para investir até R$10 milhões em fintechs nacionais. A ideia é aplicar o recurso em startups que estejam em seus períodos iniciais de desenvolvimento (fases chamadas de Seed e Series A).

“Queremos encontrar as melhores oportunidades de negócio em conjunto”, disse Gustavo Gierun, managing partner do Distrito. “O anúncio de hoje é só o primeiro de uma série que pretendemos desenvolver a partir desta parceria estratégica”, completou Fabio Dutra, cofundador da Parallax.

A aposta no segmento financeiro se deve a três fatores: quantidade e maturidade dos empreendedores se dedicando às soluções das ineficiências do mercado; evolução da regulação brasileira e avanço do Open Banking e alta concentração de mercado o que gera oportunidades de grande potencial.

A parceria tem um modelo de decisões compartilhadas e alocação de capital flexível que mantém a governança adequada sem perder agilidade necessária no dia a dia.

Desde seu inicio, em 2018, a Parallax já desembolsou aproximadamente R$ 13,5 milhões para capitalizar seis startups, das quais cinco são fintechs (CERC, Monkey, goLiza, Ali Crédito e Asaas) e uma é HealthTech (Bright). “A combinação do nosso know-how, conhecimento do setor, rede de relacionamentos e disponibilidade de capital com a estrutura e competência da Distrito otimiza o ciclo de crescimento sob o ponto de vista das startups“, disse Dutra.

Fundada há quatro anos, o Distrito converteu-se numa plataforma de inovação aberta, com forte entrada no universo financeiro. Foram um dos primeiros investidores do Neon e acabaram de lançar o primeiro campus dedicado a fintechs.“Nossa parceria estratégica nesse ecossistema certamente irá ajudar a atrair e avaliar os melhores candidatos a receber investimento”, detalhou Gierun.
