Australian jobsite SEEK made a R$23m investment in freelance labor platform Workana. SEEK led a R$8m round in 2017. Previous investors include NXTP Labs and DMGT.

(E-Commerce News)  A Workana, plataforma de trabalho freelance com atuação em toda a América Latina, acaba de anunciar o maior investimento desde sua fundação. Por meio da SEEK, acionista de empresas como Brasil Online Holdings – controladora da Catho – e OCC (Centro Online de Carreiras do México), a empresa recebe o aporte de R$ 23 milhões. Com o valor, a Workana, que já conta com mais de um milhão de freelancers cadastrados, busca manter a liderança na América Latina enquanto expande para o Sudeste Asiático.

Guillermo Bracciaforte, cofundador da Workana, conta que é o maior investimento já recebido pela empresa. “Pela primeira vez, não vamos só continuar com o crescimento forte na América Latina, agora temos planos para expandir a Workana para novas regiões onde achamos que vamos ter uma vantagem competitiva com o que temos aprendido nestes primeiros seis anos.
