Redpoint eventures and Others Invest US$16m in Pipefy (em português)

Trinity Ventures, Openview, Redpoint eventures, Funders Club, Valor Capital, ONEVC and Edelweiss made a US$16m investment in Pipefy, a business process optimization platform that was founded in Brazil. Previous investors include 500 Startups, Founders Fund and others.

(DCI)  A startup brasileira Pipefy, que promete aos gestores de empresas otimizar processos e aumentar a produtividade sem a necessidade de recorrer ao setor de TI, recebeu um aporte de US$ 16 milhões de diversos fundos de investimento, entre eles o brasileiro Redpoint Ventures.

Em nota, a empresa afirma que vai utilizar o capital para expandir suas operações e a contratação de novos funcionários, tanto no Brasil como na Califórnia, nos EUA, onde a companhia também tem escritórios.

O modelo de negócios da startup é SaaS (software como serviço, na tradução) e a receita vem da cobrança de mensalidades dos assinantes. Para utilizar as funções mais básicas o uso é gratuito. Os planos mais avançados custam a partir de US$ 12 e para as grandes empresas os valores são customizados de acordo com a necessidade.

Segundo a Pipefy, atualmente o software é utilizado por mais de oito mil empresas, algumas de grande porte, como as de tecnologia IBM e Accenture.
