Faro Capital Buys Clothing Brands Tayssir, Korda and 47 Street (en español)

(Peru Retail) Hoping to become the main retail operator in Peru, investment fund, Faro Capital, with retail acquisition adds new brands to its portfolio.

El fondo de inversión Faro Capital con esta adquisición suma estas nuevas marcas a su portafolio donde ya tiene a Mentha & Chocolate y Fina.

La empresa de fondos de inversión Faro Capital SAFI sigue creciendo en el mercado, y ahora con el objetivo de convertirse en el principal operador de retail en el Perú, esta firma adquirió para su cartera las marcas de moda Tayssir, Korda, y la argentina 47 Street.

Ante esa nueva compra, el gerente del Fondo Retail de Faro Capital, Pablo Zimmermann, explicó que el potencial de las dos marcas peruanas Tayssir y Korda reside en su alta recordación en los segmentos B y C. En tanto, la apuesta por 47 Street responde a su éxito en mujeres adolescentes.

“En Argentina 47 Street tiene cerca de 250 puntos de venta y en Perú ya contaba con ocho tiendas y 22 corners. Ahora estamos en plan de renovación y crecimiento de esta marca que tiene un enorme potencial en el mercado”, declaró Pablo Zimmermann a diario Gestión.

Hasta el momento, el fondo de inversión Faro Capital ya cuenta con 10 marcas y también viene negociando la adquisición con otras dos a cuatro nacionales y extranjeras este año con el fin de seguir ampliando su portafolio de marcas.

PLAN DE EXPANSIÓN EN LIMA Y PROVINCIAS

Las marcas más exclusivas de Faro Capital, Mentha & Chocolate y Fina cuentan con un ticket promedio de S/. 240 y S/. 330; ahora esta marcas se están alistando en abrir nuevos locales en Open Plaza, Jockey Plaza, Caminos del Inca e InOutlet (Callao).

Del mismo modo, Pablo Zimmermann sostuvo que las marcas Tayssir, Korda, 47 Street, Exit, Milk, Philosophy y Kevingston tendrán una expansión aún mayor en malls y tiendas por departamento, donde hoy tienen 80 corners.

En tanto, en provincias, el fondo ha implementado una tienda en Chiclayo, tres en Trujillo y tres en Arequipa. Además, construye dos locales en Piura y ya alista su ingreso a Huancayo. El oriente también está apuntando seriamente este fondo de inversión peruano.

FARO CAPITAL EN CIFRAS

El fondo de inversión Faro Capital tienen planeado cerrar este año con 35 aperturas, 20 de ellas ya realizadas. Así, llegarían a 85 boutiques en total. En el 2016 planean abrir 40 locales más con US$ 10 millones, inversión que incluye el capital de trabajo.

Para el 2016, Faro Capital destinará US$ 40 millones a adquisiciones con lo que se acercará a las 20 marcas. Así, se habría invertido casi el 100% del Fondo 1 de US$ 115 millones lanzado a fines del 2014. Este fondo tiene autorización de la SBS para crecer a US$ 300 millones.
