Martín E. Díaz Plata

Martín E. Díaz Plata is a Managing Partner of Capital Group Private Markets with primary responsibility for Latin America. Mr. Diaz Plata is a Co-Chairman of the Investment Committee. Mr. Díaz Plata serves on the board of directors of Tanner Servicios Financieros, El Tejar Limited, Eaton Towers Africa Holdings UK Limited, the Latin American Venture Capital Association and the British Colombian Chamber of Commerce. Prior to joining Capital Group in 2003, he spent seven years with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, first as an investment banking associate, and later as a principal of DLJ Merchant Banking Partners, in New York and Buenos Aires. He also worked at Corporación Financiera del Valle in Bogotá from 1990 to 1993 in the fiduciary and brokerage divisions. Mr. Díaz Plata is a graduate in Finance and International Relations of Universidad Externado de Colombia and holds an MBA from Columbia University Graduate School of Business. Mr. Díaz Plata previously was a director, among other privately held companies, of Arcos Dorados Holdings Inc., Jumbo Retail Argentina S.A. and Peñaflor S.A. He is based in London.
