KIO Networks Finalizes Acquisition of RedIT

(PRNewswire) KIO Networks, an international provider of Information Technology services and mission-critical on-demand data centers, has concluded the final regulatory process regarding the acquisition of redIT, an international company specializing in providing IT managed cloud, connectivity, and data center services in the U.S. and Mexico. Mexican PE fund LIV Capital and the Abraaj Group had both backed RedIT.

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — KIO Networks, an international provider of Information Technology services and mission-critical on-demand data centers, has concluded the final regulatory process regarding the acquisition of redIT.

On June 16, 2014, KIO Networks had announced the beginning of the regulatory approval process to acquire redIT. This integration of redIT, an international company specializing in providing IT managed cloud, connectivity, and data center services in the U.S. and Mexico, will add six technology campuses to the six that KIO Networks currently operates. The combined companies will have a total of 28 data centers, increased private and hybrid cloud offerings, and over 1,500 miles of metropolitan fiber optic networks throughout Mexico and the U.S.

The result of the acquisition is a very specialized technology company focused on the delivery of mission-critical IT services and infrastructure. The market will benefit from the availability of a wide range of IT options, enabling greater business efficiency, stronger technological innovation, and increased client service.
