2013 Past Events
2013 LAVCA Chile Forum
LAVCA hosted 180 Latin American and global investors at its 2013 LAVCA Chile Forum on May 29. This year’s Keynote was delivered by Bain Capital’s Managing Director Stephen Pagliuca who discussed Latin America’s growing importance in private equity markets. Additionally, President of Corp Group Holding, Álvaro Saieh and one of Chile’s most renowned executives, gave a presentation on the Latin American Consumer.
The Forum also featured a dedicated Venture Capital program, including an Entrepreneur Keynote Interview between Managing Director David Thomas of Intel Capital and Mariano Suarez Battan, CEO & Co-founder of Mural.ly.

2012 Past Events
2012 Colombia Forum
LAVCA hosted 175 Latin American and global investors at its 2012 Colombia Forum in Bogota on November 7th. This year’s event featured a member reception hosted by Abraaj Capital along with a keynote from its CEO, Mustafa Abdel-Wadood, discussing the the growth of South-South investing. Avianca Chairman German Efromovich along with Gabriel Silva, the former Colombian Ambassador to the US, discussed how successful entrepreneurs become investors themselves.
LAVCA also hosted a Laboratorio de Inversion, which brought international investors and entrepreneurs to Medellin for workshops dealing with early-stage investing in Colombia. With more than 60 local and international investors in attendance, the event was a lively exchange of ideas and experiences and set a basis for future early-stage LAVCA workshops.
