LAVCA’s flagship event, the Annual Summit and Investor Roundtable is the premier networking forum for private equity and venture capital professionals investing in Latin America and the Caribbean. The Summit brings together more than 200 industry leaders, including senior managers from leading investment firms, international  investors, regulators and  government officials to address the operating and policy environment in the region’s venture capital and private equity markets.

The 2010 agenda will feature:

  • The Summit consists of a full-day program on private equity  including provocative panel discussions with the largest and most successful PE firms in the region. Panels  will provide insight into investment strategies, key sectors and market challenges. Special keynote sessions on Mexico and Brazil will be hosted in partnership with local PE associations.
  • The Investor Roundtable includes LP Panels with participants from global pension funds, endowments, foundations and other institutional investors. They will discuss their  experiences carrying out due diligence on the region, manager selection, as well as how Latin America fits into their global emerging market portfolios. Investment officers from Latin American pension funds will also take part.
  • The Manager Showcase provides a platform for established and emerging fund managers from the region who will pitch their firm’s strategy for generating deal flow and returns.
  • The Venture Capital and Entrepreneurship Program features key players, from local angel investors to Silicon Valley VCs,  backing early stage deals in Latin America.  Panel discussions will highlight clean technology, agribusiness, life sciences/biotechnology and strategies targeting the bottom of the pyramid.
